Privacy Policy
Global Flooring and Interior supplies polygranite sheets, WPC panels and hybrid flooring from Lynbrook, Victoria. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
We only collect what you type into one of our two forms. There are no accounts on this site, we do not take payments, and we do not run a newsletter.
The contact form
- Your name and email address
- Your contact number, if you choose to give it
- Whether your enquiry is residential, commercial or wholesale, if you tell us
- Your message
- Which page you sent it from, and the date and time
The sample request form
- Your first and last name, email address and phone number
- The delivery address you give us, so we can post the samples
- Whether you are enquiring as residential, commercial or wholesale
- Your message
- The list of samples you selected — product, colour, SKU and quantity
- The date and time
Both forms send this information to us by email. It is not stored in a database on this website.
Your sample list stays on your device
When you add a colour to your sample list, it is saved in your own browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us unless you submit the sample request form. Clearing the list, or clearing your browser's site data, removes it completely. We cannot see it.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own. It does use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. Google sets cookies to do this and collects information such as your approximate location, device, browser and the pages you view. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser — the site works either way.
Our contact section embeds a Google Map, which loads from Google and may set cookies when it does. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, also processes requests to this site and keeps short-term logs, including IP addresses, to protect against attacks.
Our fonts are served from this website rather than a third party, so nothing is sent to a font provider when you load a page.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, to prepare a quote, to post you the samples you asked for, and to keep a record of what we sent and to whom. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not send marketing emails.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. It is handled by the service providers we use to run the site and our email:
- Hostinger — website hosting and our email
- Cloudflare — content delivery and security
- Google — analytics and the embedded map
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.
Information sent overseas
Some of those providers store or process information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. By sending us an enquiry you consent to that handling. We choose established providers who publish their own privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and sample requests stay in our email for as long as we need them to deal with you and to meet our business record-keeping obligations, after which we delete them. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, ask us and we will.
Keeping it safe
This site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and enquiry emails are sent over an authenticated, encrypted connection to our mail provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us and we do not keep more of it than we need.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] or call +61 401 420 806 and we will respond within a reasonable time. There is no charge.
Making a complaint
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
